Actor Rohit Saraf, who is set to play the lead in the new film Ishq Vishk Rebound, declared on Tuesday that it is not a remake or a sequel to the Shahid Kapoor-starring picture of the same name.

In the romantic comedy "Ishq Vishk" released in 2003, Kapoor made her screen debut. Critics and viewers praised the movie for its soundtrack in particular, and it was an enormous smash.

Ken Ghosh directed the first movie, which also starred Shenaz Treasurywal as prime minister and Amrita Rao. Ishq Vishk Rebound is directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, a Marathi director.
